Don’t Be Troubled

A Christian lady, a long time faithful member of our church passed away yesterday morning. The last five years had been really tough, but now she’s at peace. The last scripture I had shared with her was John 14. “Let not your hearts be troubled.” Father, we commit all to You, our today, our eternity, we know that You are the way, the truth and the life, amen.

We’re Hiring

In line to pick up breakfast, it took a while because they are short of help.πŸ˜•I see the signs everywhere; we’re hiring!! Nehemiah 4:6: “the people had a mind to work”. Genesis 2:15: “tend and care for the garden”. We were created to work. Father, give us a heart and will to work, to provide for our families and further the Kingdom, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Celebrating God’s Blessings

Our church celebrates 37 years of God’s blessings in our homecoming. There have been days of great joy and of mourning, but through it all He has blessed us. Our goal is to preach, teach and reach. At the end of our way we pray that He would say “well done thou good and faithful servant”. Come join us today, amen.

We Commit All to God

Early morning phone call - one of our deacons had recent surgery at the ER, and the stitches came loose.πŸ™ Father, we lift him up, for healing, in Jesus’ name. I learned anew how dependent we are on the Father, for everything, even the small things. My wife lost the rubber tip from her walking cane. I prayed, and He lead me right to it.πŸŽ‰ Father, all that we are, all that we need, all that we have, we commit to You, amen.

Lord, We Pray

Defund law enforcement? Talked with several agencies and they’re having huge problems attracting new officers to take the place of those retiring or leaving for safer jobs. Please join me in praying each morning for our law enforcement and their families, for The Father to put His arms around them to protect and care for them. Oh Lord, we ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

Hold to God’s Promises

Attending a funeral for awesome Christian lady this morning (we’re distantly related). My favorite passage came to mind from John 14 where Jesus says, “let not your hearts be troubled, you believe in God believe also in Me”. He goes on to say there’s plenty of room in the Father’s house and that He is coming back for us. Father, when our hearts are troubled help us hold to these wonderful promises, thank You, in Jesus’ name, amen.

We Need the Father

Ever been in the “valley of the shadow of death”? We all have. David certainly was when he wrote those words. Despite this anguish of the soul, he went on to say, “for You are with me”. Oh in the days of despair, He is with us. Jesus said, “I will never leave you”. Oh Father, today more than ever, we need Your presence in our lives, fill us with Your Holy Spirit, we ask in Jesus’ Name, amen.

Jesus Gave Us the Answer

What do you do when you can’t do anything? On the cross Jesus couldn’t even scratch His nose. To come down would have defeated the salvation plan, so He prayed for others, “Father, forgive them”. He thought of others, “Woman, behold your son”, giving His mother into John’s care. He did for others, for the repentant thief, “Today, you will be with Me, in Paradise”. On the days when you can’t do anything, Jesus gave us the answer, amen.

Eternal Life Insurance

Awesome afternoon of outreach - a young family just moved into the community. They gave us a warm reception in their home after we assured them we were not selling anythingπŸ˜‡. Oh we do offer eternal life insurance policies. The premium paid by Jesus on the cross. We would love to talk with you about that.πŸ˜‡πŸ™ Amen! The message today is “Left behind in the pew”. Be Pleasing to God

Oh the blessings keep coming. Two answered prayers for healings yesterday and then a sweet lady from our church brought us a breakfast casserole.πŸŽ‰ In Mark 10, Jesus asked blind Bartimaeus, “what do you want Me to do for you?” If He asks you that same question, what would you say? Bartimaeus said, “Master, let me see!” Father, let our answer be pleasing to You, amen.

My Turn

Limb fell off a pecan tree and it was over my load to deal with.πŸ˜• Two of our deacons came (one brought his brother), and they cut it up for me.πŸŽ‰I just quoted this when I helped a man get gas for his car, “when you’ve done it unto the least of these, you’ve done it unto Me”. (Matt.25:40) Now it was my turn. Thank you guys; you’ve blessed us. Father, help us today, to reach out and bless others in Your name, amen. (Anyone need some pecan wood?πŸ˜‡)

Be Still

Facebook asks “what’s on your mind”? A lotπŸ˜‡. So much to do at home, church,so many that I’m praying for healing, deliverance, guidance - I get overwhelmed sometimes. Then Psalm 46:10 comes to mind: “be still and know that I am God”. He is our strength, our resource. Father, please help us today, we can’t do it without You, amen.

What Do You Seek?

Working on a new message entitled “what do want from Jesus?” In Mark 10:51 Jesus asked the blind man, “What do you seek?” “Lord, to see!” He has already blessed us with the gift of life. I don’t what else you are seeking - maybe healing, but what I needed, more than anything else, was to be in a right relationship with the Father. He made it possible. What do you want? Father, we ask all things in the Name of Jesus, amen.

We Just Pray

Coffee and prayer time with the men this morning,πŸŽ‰it’s an awesome experience as these men gather for the singular purpose of praying.πŸ™ We don’t talk about how many fish we caught or the latest golf game. We just pray. All men are invited.πŸ˜‡ Father, thank You for the men-who are dedicated to worshiping and serving You.πŸ™ May our numbers increase; we ask in Jesus’ name, amen.

The Father Has Plans

Had a House full yesterday!✝️ Our watchword is “we’re back”.πŸŽ‰ We will still be careful. COVID-19 is still around.πŸ˜• A young lady came with her grandparents yesterday to tell, to announce something we already knew - that she was “saved”! Oh what the Father has planned for her, and oh, He has plans for all of us. Father, I ask today that Your Holy Spirit would be free to direct our lives, in Jesus’ name, amen.
